Or at least, that is what one tends to think, one not going a priori without the other. Except that it is underestimating a little the ambitions of the studios, who see Spidey’s opponent a character powerful enough to carry his film alone. For while the hesitation was still of course not so long ago, Sony swept away in a sudden any possibility to see the Eddie Brock of Tom Hardy trim the tip of fat with the Peter Parker of Tom Holland. No, the Spider-Man spin-off on Venom will not be part of the MCU and the film, which will be directed by Ruben Fleischer, will remain completely independent. So no Spidey in red and blue, no Avengers nor even less attack of Chitauri or angry robots in the world of Venom. Good, very good. Except that it poses nevertheless a small problem, if one takes into account the very history of Eddie Brock. So, a movie on Venom that would be outside the MCU, can it really work?
Because it is necessary to admit one thing, the transformation of Eddie Brock in Venom is intimately related to Spider-Man, and in particular to his costume bearing the famous symbiote. In other words, the original story can not do without Spidey, which is well integrated into the MCU! And that, we did not need Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 to realize it. So does that mean that Spidey will exist in the universe of the movie Venom but that it will simply be mentioned? Even if the Avengers were present at his side? Unless the studios plan to offer it a whole new origin, which will not depend on the Weaver . After all, The villain of Venom will not be Spider-Man but Carnage , or another symbiote that depends on the very existence of Eddie Brock and his black costume. But in this case, it is the fans of the enemies of Peter Parker who risk raising a skeptical eyebrow (even worse). In short, a movie on Venom that fits totally out of the MCU seems at first glance to be a pretty bad idea, especially if the studios do not have a coherent overview. As Venom will not be the only character in Spider-Man’s universe to be entitled to his own feature film since Silver Sable and Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat, will also benefit from the same treatment in the years to come. It is the fans of the enemies of Peter Parker who risk raising a skeptical eyebrow (even worse). However, everything is not all black and there is still way for Venom – and the other spin-offs of Spider-Man – to work without the MCU . After all, an Eddie Brock embodied by Tom Hardy could be fascinating enough to follow his adventures without regretting the absence of Spidey and the rest of the Avengers. If the studios take the right angle to tell their duel against Carnage while finding a way to explain their existence without causing it to arise from the presence of Peter Parker, it may be that the film can stand up on its own. After all, we do not necessarily need the whole superhero team to tell the story of a super villain , even if this one comes from the Marvel stable.
Especially, Eddie Brock, like Silver Sable and Black Cat, is not a villain 100% villain, which leaves perhaps more room to explore his character without being confined to the role of super-villain . And if the studios take the time to establish a real coherence between the different films from the Spider-Man universe, then yes, the presence of the latter and of all the clique of the protagonists of the MCU will no longer be necessary. After all, does the publishing house Marvel not create a universe centered solely on Venom? So just keep your fingers crossed so that the film does not crash! What do you think ?
The post Venom: Can the movie really work without the MCU? first appeared on The Siver Times.

Yes, an evil emblem of the Spider-Man universe will be entitled to his own film. And the editing of melty obviously speaks of Venom, which will therefore take the features of Tom Hardy . And that, for a surprise, is a real surprise! But well, of course, knowing the character and its links with the Weaver, we came to ask immediately this question: Will Tom Hardy’s Venom be part or not of the MCU? The questioning is legitimate. After all, has Spidey not returned to Marvel’s fold, even though the rights of adaptation are shared between the studios of the House of Ideas and Sony? Why should not this be the case for his opponent in black costume? It is already known, Thanks to Jon Watts, that the film on Venom should not be connected to Spider-Man: Homecoming , of which he is the director. Which does not surprise us. But what about the rest of the MCU?
Well, melty can warn you right away, if you were among those who hoped to see Venom evolving in the same universe as the Avengers, you might be disappointed. Because no, unfortunately, the film with Tom Hardy and directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) will not be part of the MCU . Kevin Feige, the boss of the Marvel studios, confirmed the news himself during a live facebook with our colleagues of Allociné. He said, ” For now, we do not have a plan for Venom in the MCU. It’s a project by Sony .” There you go ! Marvel therefore does not intend to put his little grain of salt in the adaptation around the character of Eddie Brock. At least for now. For not so long ago, We could not imagine that Spidey could one day join his friends, the Avengers. And yet, that is what is happening. So who knows what the future holds for us? Meanwhile, fans of the super-villain will have enough to feast with the venomverse, the universe devoted to the symbiote that their concubine Marvel . Proof that the popularity of Venom does not weaken! Are you disappointed by this news?
The post Venom: Is Spider-Man Spin-Off with Tom Hardy part of the MCU? first appeared on The Siver Times.

The level Champion’s League what. A more valid observation in this period of golden age for the series and decline of the 7th art. The Hollywood monuments no longer hesitate to pass a head through the small skylight. The proof.
Kevin Spacey in “House of Cards”
It was thought to associate it forever with this sheitan of Verbal Kint, his cult role in “Usual Suspects” . But for a few years now, the Oscar-winning actor has succeeded in establishing himself as the president of the States in our minds. Thanks to the series of phenomena “House of Cards” where his gifts of manipulator are still marvelous. Special mention also to his wife, Claire Underwood, encamped by the genius Robin Wright, that we saw before in “Princess Bride” and “Forrest Gump” …
His films include “Usual Suspects”, “Se7en”, “American Beauty”, “LA Confidential”, “A Better World”, “The Life of David Gale” …
Tom Hardy in “Taboo”
Quoted at episodic apparitions in “Peaky Blinders” , Tom Hardy gave his person (and his money) to create his own series: “Taboo” . A delirium in 19th-century London, between political conspiracies and shamanism. In short, an ambitious project in which Tom Hardy does … Tom Hardy. The good man does not speak or almost speak, even if it becomes his own caricature. I do not hide that I am done in the 8 episodes, hoping that season 2 finally takes off.
His films include “Bronson”, “Inception”, “The Dark Knight Rises”, “Mad Max Fury Road”, “Men Without Law”, “Warrior”, “The Revenant” …
Tom Hiddleston in “The Night Manager”
England, once again honored. Resting on the duality between spy and arms trafficker, “The Night Manager” recruited heavy for the two leading roles. First with Hugh Laurie aka the punchlineur Dr. House. And then calling on Tom Hiddleston, a regular blockbuster, especially via his role as Loki in MCU. A successful bet since the latter won in 2016 the Golden Globe of the best actor in a mini-series or a TV movie
His movies of ouf ‘ : “Thor”, “Avengers”, Kong: Skull Island “…
Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson in “True Detective”
8 episodes: it was the time it took Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey to bend the game of the series. The first season of “True Detective” is a must for any serious series , whether it is at the level of writing, the visual and sound atmosphere, and of course the interpretation of the Hollywood duo who had already worked Together on the film “Live on EdTV” . Unfortunately, the same can not be said of Season 2 and their successors Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn …
McConaughey’s “Ouf ‘movies: ” Rebel Generation “,” Dallas Buyers Club “,” Interstellar “,” The Wall Street Wolf “,” Magic Mike “…
Harrelson’s films: “The Whites can not jump”, “Killers”, “Larry Flint”, “No country for old men”, “Welcome to Zombieland”, “Hunger Games”, “Unseizable “…
Daniel Radcliffe in “A Young Doctor’s Notebook”
He will definitely spend the rest of his career trying to get rid of his Harry Potter label (good luck). A challenge that goes through the cinema but also the world of series, where little Daniel made a rather successful foray with his role as a young Russian doctor during World War I in the mini-series “A Young Doctor’s Notebook” . Ironically, he shares the role with Jon Hamm, a size of the small screen (“Mad Men”) that tries to make the opposite way towards the cinema.
His movies of ‘ouf’: ah all the Harry Potter
Steve Buscemi in “Boardwalk Empire”
Nothing is ever too big for HBO who through “Boardwalk Empire” has let loose a lot of sorrel so that you think you are in the Atlantic City of years prohibitions. Produced by Martin Scorsese, the series had to attract a heavyweight for the starring role of Nucky Thompson. This was done with Steve Buscemi, who slipped into the smart suits of the alcohol trafficking in Atlantic City. A series I advise to everyone.
His films include “Reservoir Dogs”, “Fargo”, “The Big Lebowski”, “The Wings of Hell”, “Armageddon” …
Tim Roth in “Lie To Me”
And here is his comrade of “Reservoir Dogs” who follows him with “Lie To Me” , where Dr. Cal Lightman, behavioral expert, manages to detect the mythos. A gift he puts to the service of the FBI (Mr. Orange and the police, a great love story). Between us, Tim Roth is the main selling point of this series that does not revolutionize the genre.
His films are: “Reservoir Dogs”, “Pulp Fiction”, “The Planet of the Apes”, “Funny Games”, “The Incredible Hulk”, “The Eight Bastards” …
Nicole Kidman in “Big Little Lies”
With Nicole Kidman but also Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley, “Big Little Lies” has fanned the cast 5 stars, which would make salivate any Hollywood production. But it could be that the mini-series remains in the state of one-shot, the last tendency being to the pessimism concerning a season 2 of “Big Little Lies”.
His films include “Eyes Wide Shut”, “Moulin Rouge”, “The Others”, “The Hours”, “Dogville”, “Paperboy”, “Lion” …
Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris in “Westworld”
Despite their advanced age and long career as the arm, Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris had never had regular roles in a series. Far too busy they were to shine at the movies. Well, it should be emphasized that the two monuments did not agree to play in the first series came. “Westworld” is undoubtedly the most gigantic television project of the last decades , and season 1 has barely sketched all the potential of this SF fresco. We want more !
Their movies of ‘ouf’: the list is far too long …
Bonus: Gerard Depardieu in “Marseille”
He could have dispensed with it …
The post These immensely Hollywood actors who enjoy themselves in TV series first appeared on The Siver Times.

But in what country should it be to be among the first people to see Episode VIII of the saga? A hint … Hexagon! Yes, we can understand that the Americans are a little jealous of the English, but what must they feel in front of us since we will be able to discover the film on December 13, 2017, 2 days before the American release . The English will have the chance to discover it on the 14th in the evening in only a few rooms and we have a special thought for China which she will have to wait until January 5th.
Yes, the US releases always take place on Friday so that the receipts of the film benefit from the weekend, when France prefers its releases on Wednesday, day when children / college students do not course in the afternoon and can So go to relax while matting a movie at the cinema. We know that for the release of Star Wars The Reveil of the Force , some American hardcore fans had made the trip to Paris to see the film before their friends … When you love you do not count! Star Wars The Last Jedi, whose first trailer was unveiled a few weeks ago, looks like a moving and revelatory film!
The post Star Wars The Last Jedi: Where should you be to see the movie first? first appeared on The Siver Times.

The month of May was generous in news and casting announcements! Between Venom, Uncharted, Justice League or even the next Star Wars, the fans were filled …
December 13, 2017 will release the next adventures of Rey and all his band. Suffice to say that fans of the Star Wars saga are eager to discover this film that promises to further expand the mythology . Fortunately, Lucas Films has broadcast several photos and infos allowing the aficionados to wait a little bit. There are several characters introduced to The Reveil of the Force as the most emblematic in the image of Leia, Anakin Skywalker and so on. But the real surprise of these pictures of Star Wars The Last Jedi (whose first words of Luke Skywalker were unveiled) is the presence of Benicio Del Toro, who will play DJ, and Laura Dern who will camp Vice Admiral Holdo, member of the Resistance . The photos are to be discovered below!
It is a tragic news that shook this month of May: the daughter of Zack Snyder died. The director of 300, Watchmen and Batman vs. Superman had to bequeath the rest of Justice League production to Joss Whedon time to mourn. The filmmaker behind the two previous films Avengers will take care of the reshoot and complete the post-production of the film. A way for the man to definitely switch to the DC Comics side and prove himself before starting the Batgirl adaptation . A film that should make it possible to put in place a solid DCU in the manner of the MCU which is experiencing a growing success over the years.
The third chapter of the Labyrinth entitled Le Remède Mortel is unveiled to its many fans. Dylan O’Brien, star of the film, has given many confidences about the latter. In a short video, the actor said “It’s an undercover film, a rescue mission. It’s the first time that the spectators go to see the team, which has always been together, to separate ” . A radical change of tone! Kaya Scodelario, currently starring Pirates of the Caribbean 5 (which could continue without Johnny Depp) told Screen Rant “We have just finished filming. I think we say goodbye to the characters and conclude all the stories. The film tells of a rescue mission. They want to find Minho. They enter WCKD and they try to understand the decision Teresa made in the last film. To understand that she did not betray them ” .
The month of May will have offered two announcements of castings rather surprising . The first one concerns Tom Holland, star of Spider-Man Homecoming . The latter will play young Nathan Drake in the film adaptation of the triple A franchise titled Uncharted. A saga that has made the happiness of millions of gamers! The second announcement comes closer to Spider-Man since Tom Hardy will play the cinema … Venom . The famous Nemesis of the Weaver will be entitled to a spin-off that the fans expect as much as they do not fear … It remains to know which director will take care of this project which could prove interesting for the fans of comics.
Here is a part of the cinematographic news that will have made the month of May on melty. News that will please some and cringe others teeth! Do not hesitate to give us in the comments the information that you retained and which made you react .
The post Justice League, Star Wars The Last Jedi, The Labyrinth 3 The Deadly Remedy … The Top Movie of the Month! first appeared on The Siver Times.

We all already wanted to make a little believe that Papa Noel is actually a villain. In case it would make him want to celebrate Christmas. With these actors, guaranteed success.

Liam Neeson
Authoritarian. Clearly the guy not to shit. He’s calm and normal, until you shoot it to end and there, there sanction . The blue eyes piercing, the hand of a disproportionate size that tears your head, the low voice that makes you tremble: the one who played Ras’Al Ghum in “The Dark Knight Rises” or the father breaks mouth in “Taken “Would be a Santa Claus anti-chouineries.
Tom Hardy
Violent. The top step compared to Liam Neeson, it is immediately in the fight. No need to irritate him, he is already. It is like that, there are peaceful people and warlike people. Born in his roles (Bane in “The Dark Knight Rises”, “Bronson”, John Fitzgerald in “The Revenant”), Tom Hardy often embodies a bastard who likes to provoke and type. The kids are gonna be received …
Jack Nicholson
Flippant. It does not matter much, besides it is almost difficult to explain. For in the background, the American does not have a head to play Frankestein or Elephant Man. His look, on the other hand, teases you. You can see madness, tell you: “He fished a bolt him oh.” Look at “Shining”, or “Batman Returns”. And even in “Flying over a Cuckoo’s Nest”, despite the fact that he is a “nice”, he remains border line and it is not the kind of guy you want to cross in the last train , Which will hold your leg and stress.
Danny Trejo
Impressive. Not sure that the costume holds, considering the physique of the good man. If it is cheap, it will crack direct. And it will take a good beard and a good makeup otherwise no kid will come to make the picture … A head of guy who made the jail (it falls well, Danny Trejo made it), scars, a sharp look, protruding muscles : You say yes to everything. You do not argue, do not chip. If he gives you the dirty sock he wore at the moment, you say thank you . Perfect for parents who dream of saving money, kids will be much less demanding with such a Santa Claus.
François Damiens
Heavy. Although he has a priest’s head, it is not the most dangerous. It’s his ability to break your balls for a long time, on a word, something stupid and push you to the end. Kind more kid than a kid. Send him a kid, he’ll do a “Live my life Dad”: it will fall on a stubborn guy sucks, who can lose 3 hours if necessary for an insignificant thing and laugh only without embarrassment. The child will be all confusing and Santa has made him lose all innocence on this holiday.
Willem Dafoe
Worrying. It could have a handsome head, if he had not that air of schizophrenic . While Jack Nicholson seems well aware of his scary side, Willem Dafoe is angry because he does not control himself. Unpredictable, it is not a surprise if he shone in Jopling in “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and especially in Norman Osborne / The Green Jester in the “Spiderman”. In addition to a disturbing look, his smile suggests that he is possessed. Finally, “possedey”.
You wonder if he listens to you or thinks completely of something else. Even he is not sure.
Christoph Waltz
Insensitive. When you see the roles he connects, you think he still plays great the guy no heart, no pity . We can also say “the fucker” but it is not friendly and a bit virulent. The Nazi colonel in “Inglorious Bastards”, the bounty hunter in “Django Unchained”, the enemy of 007 in “Specter”: that inhuman bastards. The kid who approaches him feels like a wave of cold that numbs him, no element of response (verbal, gestural) reassuring. He will not draw anything from it, it is lost.
The magic of Christmas must carry it, that’s for sure.
Paul Dano
Imbalance. His physique of gringalet suggests that it presents no danger. Why not! The small brown to shifty eyes embodies what is more devious here below . Paul Dano has a guy’s head shy, harmless, almost a victim of college. And in fact, it’s him who stops you, martyrs you, makes you sing. Look at it in “12 years a slave” and “Prisoners” … Even in “Little Miss Sunshine”, you wonder when it’s going to skid.
The smile that does everything but put you in confidence.
Tcheky Karyo
Invasive. The kind of guy who does not respect anything and believes himself everywhere at home. He makes his law where and when it sings, nothing to jerk. The ultimate? In “Dobermann”, when Tchéky Karyo plays Inspector Cristini. Imagine it in Santa Claus: he comes home by breaking the door, settles down at the table, ends the dishes, fucks his feet on the table, calls the kids and questions them muscularly about the mistakes of their lives and their Spit in the mouth that they do not deserve to give. And Father Christmas leaves and slams the door. It was the last Christmas party that the children wanted to celebrate, after that you are quiet. Which would be the worst in your opinion?
The post If kids meet these actors in Santa Claus, it will be the last Christmas party they will want to celebrate first appeared on The Siver Times.
