And it is not those of the saga Transformers that will contradict us. This week, Paramount studios have organized events in several cities, including Paris, around Transformers 5: The Last Knight for fans of the franchise. And beware, it was not about any events! In reality, it is almost 25 minutes of videos and unpublished images that the studios have presented , history to make us better acquainted with the two new heroines of this opus, namely the young Izabella (Isabela Moner) and Vivian Wembley (Laura Haddock). And to introduce us also some new Autobots! Fortunately for those who could not attend this event, the editor of melty, who was present, is there to give you a little recap ‘of the content of this long video. After a short filmed introduction of Michael Bay, whose Transformers 5: The Last Knight should be the last film in the saga as a director, we were immediately immersed in action. Warning, spoilers!
And we began by making a jump in time since we found ourselves projected in the days of Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. Plunged into battle, the king and his men wait for Merlin – who obviously has a reputation for alcohol – who is late. It must be said that the magician, a bottle in his hand, wanders a little in the mountain where he discovers … sorts of spears coming obviously from Cybertron . And somewhat disturbing detail, these are covered with blood. But before we could learn more about it, we were sent to the space where we found Optimus Prime, drifting into the dark immensity while claiming forgiveness from its creators. And these images are almost the only ones we have seen from the leader of the Autobots. Transformers,
Following the video we were taken to the destroyed streets of Chicago where a group of children was hunted down by warlike robots. Fortunately, Izabella and Sqweeks, the new little Autobot, are there to save them ! If you’ve seen the excerpt from Transformers 5: The Last Knight, in which Izabella is saved by an Autobot , then you know what we’re talking about. It is clear that the girl has close ties with the machines coming from space. Cade Yaeger (Mark Wahlberg) arrives with Bumblebee to help the children.
Cade, moreover, who is clearly not at the end of his troubles! Because in another excerpt, while he is chased by strange drones, he crosses the path of Cogman , a new Autobot, a kind of mix in C-3PO and K-2SO with sharp tongue and amazing reflexes. His mission is to lead Cade to Sir Edmund Burton, a historian versed in the history of the Transformers and their interactions with the Earth played by Anthony Hopkins and who resides in a huge mansion. And this one has some big revelations to make us! But before that, comes an Autobot in the form of a vehicle which ejects a young woman visibly shaken. This one is none other than Vivian Wembley, also historian, that Edmund hopes to see team with Cade in order to … to save the world. Cade would have been chosen by the medalist Transformers who owns Edmund Burton, who wraps around his arm, proof that our hero is indeed a kind of elected. But more intriguing yet, the Edmund mansion is actually built around the famous Round Table! And the old historian asks this question very pertinent to Cade: why do the Transformers always return to Earth since the dawn of time?
The following images brought us back to the past, where Arthur and his Knights clink to victory and a fruitful alliance with … three immense Autobots holding swords. Proof that machines from space have to be linked to humanity from time immemorial. The end of the video then offered us a sequence of images and extracts all more impressive than the others. We saw Autobots confronting Decepticons, Transformers emerging from the water, ships crashing on Earth and Cade, Vivian and Izabella caught in the midst of a huge battle. In short, a real maelstrom of images that ended however on a passage that should shock the biggest fans of the saga: Bumblebee and Optimus Prime colliding violently during a tough fight . What to remind us once again that Optimus Prime has changed a lot, like a poster of Transformers 5: The Last Kinght had teased us … These few excerpts of the film, if they did not allow us to learn Much more about his plot, however demonstrated one thing: this fifth opus appears visually very impressive and plans to extend greatly the mythology of the saga . The first feature film to have been filmed in IMAX 3D, Transformers 5: The Last Knight promises to put our eyes full! Are you eager to see the film? If they did not allow us to learn much more about his plot, we have however demonstrated one thing: this fifth opus appears visually very impressive and plans to extend greatly the mythology of the saga . Imagine Transformers the movie without Michael Bay is like thinking about his Alain Afflelou no, that’s impossible. Just because the director has literally carried the franchise since the release of the first film in 2007, conceptualizing and staging all the opus until today. And Transformers 5: The Last Knight, which was revealed a little more during the Super Bowl thanks to a trailer full of action, is no exception. In short, we can say that Michael Bay is the father of the license, the one without which this one could never take off and attract so many people in the dark rooms. But all this could well change! Because the director obviously intends to hang up after the release of this Transformers 5 to leave room for other directors . There, you say to yourself: ” He makes us the same blow every time .” And it is true that Michael Bay has, with each new opus, declared that it would not do more others. Except that there, his decision seems definitely final!
On his website, Michael Bay posted this message, which says a lot about his new resolution. He writes, ” It’s very bitter for me.” In every Transformers movie, I said it would be the last, I see the 120 million fans around the world going to see these movies, the huge tails In the theme parks and all the children of the Make-A-Wish foundation who come to visit our shooting locations, and every time I want to come back, I love making these films. Fun to shoot, but this time it may be really over. ” This is a decision which seems to be quite definitive. Of course, we are not immune to a turnaround, Michael Bay often changing his mind about it. For all that, the meltynauts, rest assured! It is not because the director leaves the ship that the franchise does not have a bright future ahead of him , as Paramount intends to extend the universe. We know already that Transformers 5: The Last Knight should teaser the next spin-off to come. It remains to be seen therefore if Michael Bay will leave his place to someone else and, in this case, who can then replace it. Wait and see , as they say! Do you think Michael Bay will hold his resolution?
The post Transformers, The Last Knight: The Last for Michael Bay? first appeared on The Siver Times.

Transformers 5 is, as its title suggests, the fifth film in the saga. But must it necessarily have seen the previous four opus to understand his plot?
To faithfully follow a franchise is a long-term job! Not only must we be able to see all the films – without falling behind – but, in addition, we must retain all the information they reveal to us. In short, as that we must keep the thread which, when a saga stretches like this on more than a decade can sometimes be a complicated pile. So naturally, the problem also arises for the fifth installment in the franchise Transformers Michael Bay, who will arrive in June in cinemas. Especially because, hey, the director does not do things by half and decided to reappear in Transformers 5 characters like Lennox (Josh Duhamel) who were absent from the fourth installment. Obviously for fans hardcore saga, back into the world of Autobots should not be a problem. On the other hand, for those who skipped an episode or who do not remember very well what happened in the previous opuss, the situation can become a bit more problematic. But do not panic ! The editing of melty has a good (and reassuring) new to give to those of you who belong to this second category.
For not, according to Lorenzo di Bonaventura, producer of Transformers 5 , it will not be necessary to have seen ALL the episodes of the franchise , nor have any recall from the previous adventures of Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, to understand the film. He relates to Collider: ” The movie’s opening scene will introduce what we intend to explore the mythology [franchise] Therefore, it is not necessary to have seen the other previous films, because. we will re-establish, say, the mystery of the film and the direction it will take. “. Basically, even if you think you know all of the saga Transformers , the fifth volume intends to redefine number of elements. Good, though, it’s better to know who are at least Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) if you want to understand their relationships and what they make in this whole story. Especially because, to our surprise, Optimus Prime appears to turn against Bumblebee in Transformers 5, as we have seen in a recent post , which is as surprising as disturbing. And that, only those who have at least seen one or two films of the franchise will seize the upsetting side! Have you seen the previous four opus?
The post Transformers 5: Should we necessarily have seen the previous opus? first appeared on The Siver Times.
