    In a few days, the crusading Lisa-Marie Gamache would have celebrated the first anniversary of his heart transplant. After a long fight against the disease, full of pitfalls and small victories, it is finally a hemorrhage, suffered Saturday morning at his home in Saint-Antonin, which has enjoyed because of it.

    The teenager of 17 years was recently returning home following a period of hospitalization.

    By the events that it has managed to cross over the course of his life, the journey of Lisa-Marie is remarkable. It has survived leukemia, which struck at the age of 6 years. Then at the beginning of adolescence, at age 12, the heart problems emerged. She fought for four long years, before finally receiving a new heart, on Christmas day 2016.

    “I’ll finally be able to have a normal life,” she said. The year that followed has been littered with complications. Recently, she had managed to find a little peace of mind, and resumed little by little its activities.

    Joined by CIMT, the mother of Lisa-Marie, Guylaine, dreaded already the holiday season which is fast approaching: “We are going to need support and courage. I miss her already. Now there will be a new star that will shine in the sky. “
