More than 1500 riders are launched to the assault of the multiple paths of the green lung of Montréal, Sunday, on the occasion of the 8th edition of the Marathon du Mont-Royal Brébeuf (TMRB).

In addition to promoting physical activity, this trail running also aims to make discover the hidden face of mount Royal.

The test to be the most difficult of this marathon is a route of 42 km, which will bring together this year 80 competitors. The TMRB has 1520 meters of altitude, compared to 400 for the one in Montreal.

“There are journeys for everyone, stressed the director of the race, Patrick Daigle, in an interview with LCN. There is a golf course 1 km, or 3 km for the adolescents and also of course adults 5, 12, 16 and 26 km.”

The Marathon du Mont-Royal Brébeuf is also used to support causes and to help organizations dedicated to the youth of the district, such as the boy Scouts, Notre-Dame-des-Neiges, the camp quatre-Saisons, the Central CIRCUIT anti-cardiovascular diseases of the CHU Sainte-Justine and youth in schools located in disadvantaged environments.
