The family of the woman 18 years old who has been amputated of its four limbs after a car accident is reversed by the outpouring of generosity from the community towards her.
Barely 24 hours after the publication of the article in the Newspaper telling the story of Sabryna Mongeon, over $ 40,000 has been raised through the campaign sociofinancement launched by his sister.
Words of encouragement continued to rain, on Wednesday, on the page of the site OneDollarGift.
“This is really amazing, has responded to his sister Samantha Mongeon. I would like to thank all the people who have given : I didn’t even have words big enough to tell them to what extent we are grateful. “
Sabryna Mongeon was amputated his arms and legs after being electrocuted during a car accident during Christmas night, near Gatineau.
It is still in an induced coma at the Centre hospitalier de l’université de Montréal (CHUM), where she will be cared for in the coming months.
Best care
At the outset, the campaign sociofinancement purpose was to help the mother Sabryna, a self-employed, to spend more time at the bedside of his daughter.
But as the internet users have been far more generous than expected, the family Mongeon will be able to offer the best care to the young woman.
“This money will be used to this as my sister has all the support and equipment needed for when she will wake up. Because the Société de l’assurance automobile du Quebec [SAAQ] pays a portion, but not all, ” says his sister.
“I would like to among others buy a truck and make it adapt to Sabryna, so that we can transport to all appointments “, she adds.
