MONTREAL – The Agency of Canada border services (CBSA) announced on Tuesday to have seized the 57.4 kilograms of cocaine in January last to the port of Montreal.
The drug had been carefully concealed in a hose connection industrial imported to Canada.
The container that contained the fitting had been targeted for a more thorough inspection, on the 17th of January.
Using specialized tools, CBSA officers were able to cut the hose to discover close to 60 kilograms of cocaine in the walls.
The drug has been delivered to the royal Canadian mounted police, who opened an investigation.
