About media

Q. Is it that you took the journalists into the flu in the last few years, not just in Montreal, but a little bit here, you were very present at the beginning of your career of mayor and there, it looks like that you begin to love less the media.
A. Ben, I do not need to be present, they are, there are roughly a dozen who follow me. I’m going to less in the radio, it interests me more. Less. I still do a little, but less and less because it is unpleasant, not evil. I’m going to in some radios, but in others, I decided that it was finished. There will be more.
About grants cultural

Q. You go subsidize to the tune of$ 7 Million on the famous Diamond of which we hear a lot about the space of creation and dissemination. You have been much criticised in your critics, the financing of this space. I know that in Montreal, I often think of the Maison symphonique, when we wanted to set it up, the criticism often came from Quebec. Why it is so hard in Quebec to make people understand that it’s worth the cultural investment?
R. Ben, listen, there is what is called a distorted prism in Quebec city. There are some radios toxic character there and one has the impression that they, in fact, possess the truth. The important thing is to do like me and do not listen to them. I do what I have to do. I do not listen to them.

Q. Is that the departure of André Arthur is a good or a very good thing for Quebec? (Question from Guy A. Lepage)
A. Listen, I am not yet bored! I’ve tried the past week and I have not been able! I’m still working on it!
Q. It upsets you this radio?
A. It’s going to go, it’s going to go because Quebec it is something other than the radio, because it annoys me also that it is like that, but what do you want? It is the same!
About Valerie Plant

The mayor of Montréal, Valérie Plante
Q. what is it that you laugh the most in the last election campaign in Montreal? The defeat of Denis Coderre or the victory of Valerie Plant?
A. I refuse to answer this question! It pains me to Denis and I love Valerie, so I’m really politically correct. It is correct that? This is pretty much the language of wood! […] We were friends and at the same time, Valerie is adorable, and then I find that she is very intelligent, then it is the fatality of the policy.
Q. what is it that you think of what happens to him?
A. well, I think that the event is coming soon. […] In the era of communications today, the problem is that there are so many columnists in the media in Quebec, to find a topic among 53 chroniclers it is complicated, then as soon as there is someone, something that goes wrong, everyone jumps on it! But at the same time, the fees, it is not necessary to play with it. […] The bureaucratic machine is heavy, she can eat, she can swallow a politician very easily, I can tell you that.
