After the petition, Québec solidaire organizes now a demonstration to demand the resignation of the minister of Health, Gaétan Barrette.

The training says that more than 35,000 people have already signed the petition on-line Thursday to ask the prime minister Philippe Couillard to dismiss his minister.

The next February 24, Québec solidaire will hold an event that will leave parc Émilie-Gamelin to deliver the petition to the prime minister’s office in Montreal.

“During that medical specialists receive on average 450 000 $, the nurses are in distress, operating rooms close at 16h and the hospital beds are overflowing,” said the mp solidaire Amir Khadir. The population is “angry”, he says.

The manifestation of QS, a first of its kind according to the party, is part of the commitment of its spokesman, Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois, to transform the political formation of a “citizens ‘ movement”.
