The dermatologist Rodion Kunynetz, who practiced medicine in Barrie, Ontario, had been convicted of abuse of a sexual nature in march 2017. Some of these patients had alleged that he was rubbing his penis on their legs during exams.
Dr. Kunynetz was defended by arguing that it was physically impossible for him to have rubbed his penis against his female patients because of the size of his belly.
On Tuesday, the discipline Committee of the College of physicians and surgeons of Ontario has estimated that it could not judge whether or not Rodion Kunynetz had affixed his genitals on the legs of some of his patients. The Committee has held, however, that this was “not impossible” and that there had indeed been, at a minimum, a contact between the bottom of the belly of the physician and his patients.
In march 2017, the Committee found that the doctor had sexually abused a patient by touching her on the breasts under her bra, without medical justification.
The Committee finally decided to withdraw his right to practice at the Dr. Kunynetz. You will also have to pay an amount of $ 16,000 to pay for any therapies to its patients, as well as a sum of $ 145,000 to cover the costs of the disciplinary procedures of the Committee.
