Police in York region north of Toronto, explained to high school students that smoking marijuana led to a decrease in testosterone and an increase in the growth of breast in men.

On February 16, officers went to the headquarters of the school Board of the region of York to conduct an awareness session on the dangers of drugs to high school students.

According to information reported by CP24, one of them would have explained to the adolescents that”there are studies according to which the consumption of marijuana would lead to a decrease of testosterone”.

“We find that 60 % of 14 year-olds develop the chest,” he reportedly added.

A spokesman for the police told CP24 that officials have “acknowledged their errors” and that the policeman in question was “poorly expressed”.

In a tweet issued Tuesday evening, the police department of the region of York has declared not to be “health experts” while asserting that “marijuana does not cause growth of breast increasing for men”.

“We are aware of the presence of erroneous information in our agents. We are working to resolve them.”
