Look at this article
Two things are certain. 1) health is shaping up as an electoral issue major. 2) The increases outrageous provided to medical specialists under Philippe Couillard him will stick to the skin until the election of next October 1st.
Yes, as we say colloquially, too much is like not enough.
Those who read me know what I think. Let’s not mince words. It is a downright scam established in the system.
For months, I still also on an ethical issue that seems major. Is that by promoting their own profession, while forcing the plate-butter of specialists from public funds – in addition, while the other items in the budget of the health and social services écopaient -, Philippe Couillard and Gaetan Barrette, themselves medical specialists of the profession, are placed in a confusing situation of conflict of interest. Considering the magnitude of the sums involved, this conflict deserves an independent investigation.
With the latest agreement, still too generous to the scholars, the thesis of the conflict of interest is finally starting to make its way into the public opinion and even among some physicians are opposed to such increases. It was time.
To the government, this thesis bother of course. It was uncomfortable because it puts the finger on a breach of ethics serious and extremely costly in public funds.
A few months of an election and while the CAQ leads yet in the opinion polls, it is the last thing the liberals needed on the political level. However, they have done it.
The thesis of the conflict of interest is disturbing. Even to the point where this morning, in the question period, the prime minister Couillard has tried in vain to contradict it.
But be careful. Take a small tea before reading his comments. I swear to you, you will not believe your eyes.
Then, ready, not ready, here is what he said :
“But what I really want to say is that the fact that I am from the medical profession, as my colleague (Gaétan Barrette), has absolutely nothing to do with what has been done, on the contrary. I challenge you to find a government that has been so aggressive towards the medical profession than it has been since 2014.”
Voilà, it’s done.
The next career of Philippe Couillard is already all found : comedian…

NOTE: The title of this post is of course quite ironic.
