MONTREAL | A young 18 year old man has been seriously injured, on Wednesday evening, during a physical altercation in the borough of Saint-Léonard in Montreal.

The victim, who was located at the corner of Bélanger and Daveluy to 21: 15, has been “achievement at the bottom and at the top of the body by a weapon,” said Benoit Boisselle, a spokesman for Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM). The young man was transported to the hospital, but the spokesman could not clarify whether his life was in danger at the end of the evening.

A suspect, a 20 year old man, was arrested shortly after the events a few blocks away.

Police officers protected the scene of the crime at the end of the evening, in the expectation of investigators who were to meet with witnesses, and analyze the scene to try to determine the cause of this aggression.
