Manon Massé and Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois, will announce this morning that, of the two co-spokesperson, will participate in the leaders ‘ debate, in addition to being a candidate for the post of prime minister during the general election in October next.
“The spokesperson agreed on who will be the candidate for the post of prime minister for Québec solidaire,” says a well-informed source within the training policy.
Manon Massé and Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois will be the announcement of their choice to 10 a.m. at the Coeur des sciences of UQAM, in Montreal.
Unlike other political parties, Québec solidaire has two spokespersons, rather than a head, this left the question of the identity of a potential prime minister in abeyance.
The candidate for the post of prime minister will also be the one who will participate in the leaders ‘ debates during the next election campaign. In the past, Françoise David has held the role, before his resignation last year.

Submitted to a vote
The announcement comes on Monday to submit the choice to the local authorities of Québec solidaire. The members will then be asked to vote upon a vote at the national Council of the party, which will be held may 12 and 13, next to Quebec.
Last fall, Manon Massé, and Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois have announced their desire to change the function of prime minister, to delegate important powers to the vice-prime minister and parliamentarians. They thus hoped to reduce the partisanship in the national Assembly.
This measure has been submitted to the members of the training, who have postponed the vote on the question.
