Ottawa: a man accused of sexual offences on children

    OTTAWA – A man from Ottawa has been accused of several sexual offences against children under the age of 12 years.

    Karl Njolstad, 56 years old, was charged, Friday, incitement to sexual touching, sexual interference, possession and production of child pornography, voyeurism, sexual assault and forcible confinement.

    These charges were brought following an investigation by the sexual assault Section and of the violence done to the children of the Ottawa police Service. These sexual crimes have been committed in 2015 to 2017 on four victims.

    Mr. Njolstad, has been indicted for similar crimes in August 2017.

    The suspect allegedly invited the neighborhood children into his home to shoot movies while they changed their clothes.

    In a statement, Ottawa police said the investigation is continuing and that investigators “are concerned that there are other victims in this case.”
