Magnetic storm on Earth, which began on the morning of 27 February, called coronal hole on the Sun, according to laboratory x-ray astronomy of the Sun LPI, reports Rus.Media.

The growth of magnetic field perturbations associated with the appearance of extensive coronal hole directly in the center of the visible solar disk, that is directly on the line connecting the Sun and the Earth. Under coronal hole refers to the darker area of the crown that has a lower luminance compared to the surrounding areas. Such areas are clearly seen in the images of the Sun coming from space. The ejected plasma has high speed and forms a high speed stream upon contact with the planet to cause a noticeable perturbation of its magnetic field up to magnetic storms.
