LÉVIS – The police officers of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) have seized more than 6,000 illegal cigarettes during a search, in a housing of Lévis.
During this search, which took place on the 24th of February last, the officers from the Division of investigations on the smuggling of the SQ seized 6000 cigarettes and 1600 cigarillos.
Two persons, suspected to be involved in the smuggling and sale of tobacco illegal, have been arrested.
They could face charges under the Act relating to the tobacco tax.
