Disappointed and angry, Hypolyte Tchoutouo agreed Thursday to meet with The Journal, after having refused the day before.
“They want us to believe that the employer and the driver in shock are the victims, but it is we, the real victims. Our daughter Michelle Solaye has disappeared and we are torn. It is too easy to crush a child. Who protects them?” asked the father in mourning.

The little Michelle Solaye Tchoutouo, 8 years, died the 1st of December last, caught by a snow thrower, in the area of Charlesbourg.
Three months after the tragedy, no charges will ultimately be brought against the driver who hit his little girl of eight years.
On December 1, 2017, Michelle Solaye Tchoutouo lost his life in the parking lot of the apartment building where she lived, on the boulevard Louis-XIV.
“There was a camera in the truck, and the driver has not looked at it. It was the police who told us. For us, it is negligence. I don’t see other words,” adds Mr. Tchoutouo.
The latter states that the contractor took a few minutes to visit his family in the days that followed the tragedy. This was their only contact to this day. The father-of-origin cameroon would also like to thank from the bottom of the heart the entire population for its support.
A liability
Very quiet, Hypolyte Tchoutouo does not wish to see the worker handcuffed in front of the justice, or sit in jail.
“We refuse only to hear that he is totally bleached. It only wants the driver to recognize a share of the responsibility. Otherwise, it is an insult to the family. I can guarantee you that they are very careful today in the snow. But not this day. For the rest, nothing will bring back our daughter. My wife cries every day.”
For its part, the co-owner of the company for the removal of snow has made it known Wednesday that he was relieved by the conclusion of the police investigation.
In a few months, the coroner in charge of the file may provide additional explanations and make recommendations.
