NASA scientists with telescopes “Hubble” and “Spitzer” found evidence of the availability of huge reserves of water in the atmosphere of a planet WASP-39b, which is located at a distance of 700 light years from Earth, reports Rus.Media.

As the researchers note, WASP-39b is a planet the size of Saturn, but its atmosphere contains three times more water than a gas giant of the Solar system, accordingly, it was formed in a different way.

Exoplanet revolves around the Sun-like star WASP-39b. It is 20 times closer to the sun than Earth is to the Sun and revolves around it in four days. The temperature of the day side of the planet reaches 776,7 degrees Celsius.

According to researchers, the planet was formed at a considerable distance from the star, where they were subjected to “bomb” a large number of icy material, and then carried out the planetary transit system and close to the star.
