GASPÉ – Three people have been arrested in the Gaspé peninsula during a police operation that resulted in the seizure of a certain quantity of drugs, including 500 methamphetamine tablets.
Last Friday, police officers from the MRC of la Côte-de-Gaspé and the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) have conducted simultaneous arrest of three individuals in the Rivière-aux-Renard: a man 36-year-old was arrested and appeared Monday at the palace of justice Pierced, it faces a variety of charges related to possession and trafficking of narcotic drugs. A man and a woman, aged 60, have also been arrested and released by way of a summons to appear in court, they face the same charges.
Following these arrests, police have searched two residences, one on the boulevard Renard Ouest, the other on rue Saint-Narcisse, where nearly 500 methamphetamine tablets, more than 2306 g of cannabis, cash and several items for the resale of narcotics were discovered and seized.
“This is information received from the public some time ago that were used to conduct this operation,” said SQ.
