WESTMOUNT – A super-clinic will open its doors in Westmount on the 1st of April, announced Tuesday the minister of Health Gaétan Barrette.
The super-clinic Health Group Westmount Square will be the 11th in the region and 28th in Quebec.
It will host patients for 12 hours per day, every day. The imaging services will be offered on-site, but the direct debit service will be available in July. In the meantime, this service will be available to close by the integrated Center for academic health and social services Centre-Ouest-de-l’île-de-Montréal (CIUSSS).
The minister of Health has praised the opening of the super-clinics, which offer “people a different option than the emergency”.
“This will also contribute to better intervene and prevent many health disorders, and will contribute to the quality of life of patients. I welcome the mobilisation of the team GMF Health Group Westmount Square and the fact that the latter has opted for this innovative model, and adapt to the current needs of the users of our network,” added Gaétan Barrette by press release.
