One death and one seriously injured after a police chase in Ontario

    The special investigations Unit of Ontario (SIU) has opened an investigation following a police chase that claimed the life of a woman of 88 years, on Tuesday in Napanee, near Kingston in Ontario.

    According to initial information provided by the SIU, Ontario’s police received a call at around 15: 30, indicating that a vehicle SEEN travelling at high speed on Bridge street.

    The police officers attempted to stop the motorist, but the latter is in a collision with another vehicle driven by a lady of 88 years who died on the spot.

    The driver of the SUV, a man of 42 years old, was seriously injured.

    The SIU has indicated support for an investigation, as is the case when police officers are involved.
