About $ 1.08 billion will be invested in the road network of the island of Montréal over the next two years, mentioned the government Couillard, who made the point on spending in this area on Wednesday.

Thanks to this budget, Quebec is hoping to do the work of 63 yards, which will ensure 7 763 jobs.

The projects aim in particular to ensure the safety of roads, improve the ride comfort of the roads and to provide the region with infrastructure that will benefit the economic development.

“One has only to think of the project Turcot, to the reconstruction of the bridges on highway 13 over highway 40 or the reconstruction of the underpasses of the boulevard des Galeries-d’anjou at the top of highway 40,” explained the ministry of Transport, referring to the economic impact potential of these investments.

The minister of Transport, André Fortin, also believes that such work will “have a real effect on the quality of life of the families” in addition to being a “lever of economic development crucial” for the region of Montreal.
