The acting director of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Martin Prud’homme, went to meet the police officers in charge of the investigation into the disappearance of the little Ariel Jeffrey Kouakou.

This is what was stated by André Durocher of the SPVM at the point held in the afternoon on Wednesday.

“We do not skimp on the means when you should find a 10 year old child,” added Durocher.

“There is no abandonment of the research. The command post will remain present in the district”, he said.

“There will be no stopping research until we can make progress in the investigation.”

André Durocher has shown that people often work “out of habit” and that if they have seen something, it can come back at any time.

He also invited the population of the area where the boy could find to verify their backyard.

“It is a young boy of 10 years. He was able to climb a fence and fall down and get hurt and fade away.”

Mr. Durocher stated that police officers will be mobilized throughout the night to find the child that has not been seen for over 50 hours.

Research in the area of rivière des Prairies

The officers of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) have focused their research to the sector of the rivière des Prairies, in the case of the disappearance of the little Ariel Jeffrey Kouakou.

The child of 10 years has indeed been seen for the last time to 14 h Monday, in the park of the Boatmen along the river.

The research units have considered diving into the river Wednesday morning, but they have had to forgo due to the current that was too strong.

All search efforts are now focusing on an area of about six kilometres that goes from the park of the Boatmen at dam of Hydro-Québec located to the east of the bridge Papineau-Leblanc (highway 19).

The perimeter has already been squared twice since Tuesday morning.

The police have also asked Hydro-Québec to reduce the rate of water flow of the river to facilitate research that could take place on the other side of the dam.

It must be remembered that Ariel had left the home of his parents on the rue Valmont, in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartieville, Monday, around noon, to visit a friend on Gouin boulevard.

His father, just to reassure her family

The father of the little Ariel Jeffrey Kouakou hardly find the words on Wednesday morning to reassure his family while the search continues to find the child.

Met in his residence in the neighbourhood of Cartierville by TVA News, Kouadi Frederic Kouakou has confessed to finding “extremely difficult” to take the shot.

“It is difficult to talk to his little sister who we always ask questions to know where he is party, has charged the father of Ariel. We are forced to work around the issue.”

In the interview, Mr. Kouakou was addressed directly to his son.

“Ariel, anything that I can tell you is that you lost your little sister, he said before melting into tears. I know the attachment that he has with his family, with his friends. Ariel, wherever you are, make us sign. Ask for forgiveness to the one who is with you. Tell him that you have a little sister who is waiting for you. She was only four years old.”
