Carrie Fisher, Princess Leia of “Star Wars”, hospitalized after a heart attack

The 60-year-old actress was the victim of a cardiac arrest during a London-Los Angeles flight.

The news rocked Hollywood and the many fans of the saga Star Wars . Carrie Fisher, known for having embodied Princess Leia, suffered a cardiac arrest in the flight back from London to Los Angeles, Friday, December 23.
Treated by a nurse on board the unit, then by relief at the Los Angeles airport, Carrie Fisher was transportation ed in emergency at central hospital of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). The site TMZ writes that intensivists would then be fifteen minutes to get a heartbeat.

According to her brother, the actress, placed under respiratory and cardiac care in intensive care, would now be in a stable state. Hours earlier, the Los Angeles Times wrote that Carrie Fisher was in a “critical condition” .
