After a reaction to hot which is making a lot of noise on the social networks, Charles Lafortune commented on Friday morning, the decision by Walmart to end a program for the integration of people with disabilities in the workplace, reiterating that “it’s terrible to do that”.

The wrath of the moderator, who is the father of an autistic child, was added to the concert of indignation heard from the giant us retail has confirmed the news, which will touch 26 stores in Quebec.

“I fell down my bed [watching the news],” he said in an interview with LCN.

“I couldn’t even understand that a corporation is that it is a good idea to do that,” continued Mr. Lafortune, adding that he is the worst advertisement we can do for a trade.

He acknowledges to have reacted without knowing all the motivations behind this decision, but he thought that no reason could not allow him to understand how it got there.

    Responsibilities

Mr. Lafortune, who was not in the habit of doing in the controversy, explains that this is because, “[he has] not chosen, but which [has] chosen”, the button especially.

“I imagine the parent who has to explain to her child, who has been working for 4, 5, 7 years to this place, who is an adult now, tell him “no, you will not be able to work there because you’re too complicated, and we don’t want your difference…””

For him, the fact of taking part in this integration program came with responsibilities, and to dispose of them, “it’s like adopting a child and, at a given time, to say that it no longer makes [your] case”.

“It’s going to make me happy to say that I’ll never be at Walmart,” he started, adding that he was not against supermarkets in general, but with this banner that has “crucified” a valuable program to the arrival of the end of the week of Easter.

I DO NOT RITE NEVER ON MY THREAD BUT… TABARNACK! YOU WILL NOT SEE ME IN A WALMART ANY TIME SOON! APRIL IS THE MONTH OF AUTISM AND THE BLUE COLOUR… WALMART SHOULD CHANGE HIS name TO BROWN deep shit! #HORSDEMOI!https://t.co/N0ryUfbNEM
