Ten evenings for Operation Red Nose
As usual, the Lions Club of Gaspé even once oversee the activities of Operation Red Nose, and this for the 26th consecutive year.
In 2016, the number of drive-home parties rose to 10 and can already count on the teams to take you safely home (see table at end of text). The service is available at Anse-à-Valleau to St George and the hours of operation will be from 21 am to 3 pm.
Recall that in 2015, 611 are rides that were conducted in the City of Gaspé by 244 volunteers spread throughout the country. Moreover, thanks to the generosity of the community, the Lions Club has been able to award scholarships to the Youth of Gaspé and Rivière-au-Renard, in Summer Youth Gaspé and the Gaspe Elementary School.
This year, two call centers will be available to drivers who wish to enjoy a ride home, the Houses Youth Gaspé and Rivière-au-Renard, who will also serve as ports of call for all volunteers. A good way to take a responsible attitude and the mix business with pleasure. Note in conclusion that the Lions Club of Gaspé also currently working to organize the parade Santa Claus, to be held this year on December 10th. More details on their Facebook page.
