MacBook Air: Its new competitor is called Surface Laptop!
While the Surface range struggled to get everyone to agree, Microsoft launched the Surface Laptop, a laptop that wants to make you zap the MacBook Air.
As expected, Microsoft launched yesterday, at an event in New York, its Surface Laptop. This new laptop that has already leaked on the web is expected to compete with Apple’s computers. But no, the Redmond firm does not necessarily want to shade the MacBook Retina of 2015. With its Surface Laptop, Microsoft hopes to get you to zap the MacBook Air of 13 inches, a computer whose days already seem counted . Without USB-C but equipped with a classic USB, a jack and an SD player, the Surface Laptop has a good data sheet. And meltyStyle tells you more.
Equipped with an Intel Core i5 (or i7) latest generation Kaby Lake processor, the Surface Laptop is much faster than a MacBook Air whose components date back a few years ago. But contrary to what one could believe , the screen of this new laptop is tactile and one can use it with a stylus. Supplied under Windows 10 S (a version of Windows 10 that only accepts the app from the Microsoft Store but the firm has promised a complete upgrade to Windows 10), the Surface Laptop will be marketed from 999 dollars in the US and From 1149 euros in France. You can pre-order it now, here.
