Two batches of cheese, neufchatel are recalled due to contamination by Listeria. This bacterium has been detected in two batches of products by the dairy to The Cateliers, located at Buchy (Seine-Maritime). These specialties dairy are sold in the large distribution, mainly by Carrefour and Intermarché. Customers are encouraged to check their fridge.
These are the cheeses of the Neufchâtel PDO and Neufchâtel PDO Route of flavors that are affected by the recall of products. Both are contaminated by the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes, responsible for food-borne infections are serious. The lots implicated are numbers 1D143 and 2D143, best before July 16.
Consumers who have these products should destroy or return them to the store. The consumer service can also be requested on the 02 35 32 60 32. In any case these cheeses should not be consumed. Because Listeria causes septicaemia if it is not treated on time.
