MONTREAL – A Montrealer who had been caught by a hit in Times Square last may, in New York, is out of the coma, has announced its close on Sunday, its page on GoFundMe.

Elena Avetisian, a mother of three children, aged 38 years, was in Times Square on the 18th of last may, when Richard Rojas, a veteran of the u.s. navy struggling with psychiatric problems, has dark on the crowd at the wheel of his car.

More than two dozen pedestrians have been achieved, including one fatally. Ms. Avetisian, who was visiting New York for the wedding of a cousin, was seriously injured and fell into a coma.

His sister and her husband stayed at his bedside in New York, where she was hospitalized. In order to pay their many back-and-forth between New York and Montreal, his relatives had opened an account with GoFundMe.

Elena Avetisian has finally woken up two weeks ago. She was transferred to Montreal to continue his treatment and begin a long rehabilitation. She regained the use of the word.

So far, the fundraising campaign helped his family raise over $27,000.
