MONTREAL – The Montreal police has put the hand to the neck Thursday of a 17-year-old who is suspected of having committed two attempted murder and assault with a weapon on July 2, outside the metro station Mont-Royal.

Another suspect, 20-year-old was arrested and released, “pending further evidence”, said Friday the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), by issuing a press release.

The police are looking to find another 17-year-old, who would be involved in this case occurred just before 1 a.m. in the morning of 2 July.

Three men, 29, 31 and 32 were injured.

The three victims “have detained the suspects at the exit of the subway station, said the POLICE. They had witnessed an altercation between two groups of young men, including the suspects in a subway car shortly before. After being arrested by three men, the suspects were stabbed and [they] have repeated kicks and punches. They then fled before the arrival of the patrol”.

The 17-year-old who was arrested appeared Friday afternoon before the Court of the youth to respond to charges of assault causing bodily harm, aggravated assault and mischief.
