It will be illegal for women to wander around topless at the Village Vacances Valcartier and the Bora Park, so that the Group Calypso announces a new regulation in this direction.
“Following the consultation of our clientele and our legal advisers in Ontario and Quebec, we agreed that the women must continue to wear swimwear covering the top (the bust) and bottom of the body in our parks. This is not modesty that we take this decision, but simply because we have listened to our customer family,” says Louis Massicotte, president of the Group Calypso Valcartier, by way of a press release on Wednesday.
The company had to position itself following the filing of a complaint of a woman at the Court of human rights case against the City of Cornwall, Ontario, because the city forbids women to be topless on the premises of public swimming pools.
The Group Calypso Valcartier has indicated that he would not comment on the complaint filed before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
