A first agreement was concluded in the construction industry, learned VAT News. It would affect the civil engineering sector, which represents approximately 35 000 workers.
The union would therefore have agreed with the employer, the Association of road builders and heavy construction du Québec.
The official announcement and details are expected to be released Thursday afternoon in Trois-Rivières.
The other three construction sectors (institutional, commercial, and residential) are still in negotiations.
