SHERBROOKE – stickers to a xenophobic nature have been placed Tuesday in downtown Sherbrooke, in the Estrie region. The bridge Montcalm, Wellington street North and South as well as lake of the Nations have been affected by this offensive.
A resident of Sherbrooke has subsequently filed a complaint with the police de Sherbrooke (SPS).
“We do not tolerate behavior, comments, and views that are racist, homophobic, humiliating, and/or related to all forms of hatred, gestures, comments, or views which might encourage to adopt such hateful views”, was suggested by the SPS by press release.
The offensive anti-immigration is claimed by the Federation of Quebec strain, which promotes the survival of the québécois people.
The islamic cultural Association of Estrie advocates the opening.
