A Montrealer arrested this week by officers of the division of the royal Canadian mounted police in charge of investigating the terrorist threats will not be able to approach the parliaments of Quebec and Ottawa if it wants to stay in freedom.

Alex Louis Fallara, 21 years old, appeared at the palais de justice de Montréal on Friday afternoon. The resident of the neighborhood of Côte-des-Neiges had been arrested the day before by agents of the criminal investigations Program to the national security of the RCMP in charge of investigating the risks to national security, including terrorist threats.

According to the act of denunciation filed Friday at the palace of justice, the RCMP reported that he had ” reason to fear that [Fallara] commit, in the place of a person or persons, severe bodily harm “.

These suspicions are based on gestures that Fallara would be installed between October 1, 2016 and on July 21, 2017, according to the act of denunciation.

The young man has no criminal record and has not been formally accused on Friday. He was detained under section 810 of the criminal Code according to which a person may be released, pledging not to disturb public order. He will have to fold to a long series of severe conditions.

No internet

Fallara will not have the right to approach within 200 metres of the national Assembly of Quebec or of the House of commons in Ottawa. The young man will not be able to view either the internet or the social networks. He is also prohibited from possessing explosives or a firearm and participate in a demonstration or gathering hidden or in possession of a bag.

He also had to surrender his passport and will not have the right to leave the country. He must also stay away from a certain man whose name was mentioned in court, but it has not been possible to know the bond that unites two individuals.

Alex Louis Fallara has agreed to comply with all these conditions and his case will be back before the court on August 31.
