CALGARY – Approximately 500 bikers are expected by the end of the week in Calgary for 20 years of the local chapter of the Hells Angels.
A huge tent, portable toilets and several trucks carrying party accessories have been seen in the eastern limits of the city, reported the media of Calgary.
The national gathering annual of the Hells Angels takes place at the same time.
The police do not foresee particular problems this weekend, but is keen to ensure that the residents of Calgary know that she monitors the activity closely, has reported on the CTV network.
“As for any major event that takes place in the city, the Calgary police Service is going to the monitor, in this case in collaboration with the RCMP and other agencies responsible for law enforcement across Canada”, explained to journalists Joe Brar, the superintendent acting for the Calgary police.
“People don’t need to call us if they see a group of motorcycles on the street, said Mr Brar. However, if they find any criminal act whatsoever, we encourage them to contact us.”
The gathering began Friday and continues through Sunday. Bikers have started arriving in Calgary as soon as Wednesday, according to the “Calgary Sun”.
