Tall ships: a parade grandiose to wrap up the RDV2017

Thousands of people have converged on the two banks of the river Sunday morning to say a final goodbye to small and large sailing ships which rode between the Quebec bridge and the port, before you take the broad.

You could hear a pin drop in Basin Brown, where hundreds of people were massed as early as the wee hours of the morning to see the sailboats for the last time, a long view to the hand. The parade grand to a little over an hour, which took place without fanfare, ended about 9am.

It is moreover the canadian sailing boat Black Jack which opened the ball, and then its counterpart, the Bluenose II had ended the ceremony, in front of the impressive boat-pump.

“It is so beautiful, it is a success,” said Louise Lalancette, coming of Saguenay only for the rendez-vous naval. The most courageous had even set their dial at dawn, in time to see the sailing ships leave the port at 4 o’clock in the morning to go to position near the Quebec bridge.
