Do yoga, surrounded by alpacas and a natural setting, like a pasture would be more relaxing than in a gym.

SAINTE-EULALIE | A company of the Centre-du-Québec offers, since the beginning of the summer, yoga sessions in the middle of a pasture where grazing alpacas. This is the first time in Canada that such a pairing is available.
Alpaca fibrefine of Sainte-Eulalie, 25 km from Victoriaville, has held a first session of yoga in his fields on may 27.
A dozen people participated. According to the owner of the site, Karine Davidson Tremblay, the participants have called the experience enjoyable, relaxing and apt to allow a return to the sources.
Ms. Davidson Tremblay adds that it is a nice way to recharge the batteries while entering in contact with nature and reallocating the agricultural area. It considers that there is a parallel between the practice of yoga and the animal in a natural, calm and peaceful.
“It is relaxing to do yoga outdoors with a backdrop of alpacas grazing. It is funny also to see the animals looking at us while we head down. It is a real therapy, ” claims she.

Animals perfect
The founder had the idea to combine her two passions when she heard of yoga classes with goats. It has come to the conclusion that the attitude is at once curious and fearful of his animals made them ideal candidates for the practice of yoga. The experience is conclusive up to now.
“The alpacas are animals perfect for yoga. They come to feel gently, and go deeper. If the yogis feel invaded, and they have to make large movements. It is a magical combination. The goats are a little more disturbing, they climb on people ! ” she says.
For the people who would be afraid of being bitten or spit on it (the alpaca is a close relative of the llama), Karine Davidson Tremblay is reassuring. Alpacas have only bottom teeth and spit not on the people. It qualifies also very unlikely an attack of alpaca, the animal is first and foremost a prey animal.
23 alpacas
The courses are offered by Manon Cloutier, Space yoga health coach certified. They include the tour of the facilities of Alpaca fibrefine and an hour of yoga.
For the sake of logistics, we limit the cohort to a couple of people. The farm comprises a total of 23 alpacas.
Informed of the specific offer, people from everywhere in Quebec and even Europe have confirmed their presence for the next session, which will take place on 5 August.
