EDMONTON – Alberta needs a premier bilingual who can explain to the Québec of the benefits of the oil industry.
This was launched Saturday, Jason Kenney, ex-chief of the Association for the progressive conservative of Alberta, that aims for the head of the single party of the right in the province of Western canada.
Mr. Kenney has officially announced Saturday at Edmonton his intention to become the leader of the conservative Party kingdom alberta, reported Global News.
The ex-federal minister has argued, in English as in French that the prime minister of the province had to find the words to convince Quebeckers of the benefits of the oil industry.
Alberta and Quebec have often competed in the past on the issue of oil. Various shots of the probe conducted over the years indicate that Quebecers are the most reluctant in the country on pipeline projects in Western canada.
The opposition to the project Energy Is TransCanada, which provides for the transport of crude oil from Alberta and Saskatchewan to refineries in eastern Canada, is an example of the reluctance of citizens and even politicians of Quebec.
During his speech, Jason Kenney took the opportunity to launch several arrows at the prime minister Justin Trudeau. It considers in particular that the latter does not have enough defended the oil sector. “I would not be distracted by the bottom and the selfies”, he said.
Recall that last week, members of the Wildrose, and the Association of the progressive conservative of Alberta have voted unequivocally for the merger of the two political parties of the right.
In addition to Jason Kenney, Brian John, ex-chief and member of parliament for Wildrose, and Doug Schweitzer want to become leader of the conservative Party uni of alberta.
