    A man in search of thrills has had for his money on Sunday, when his sleigh was overturned while he bravait the Jacques-Cartier river north of Quebec city. The quick intervention of his guides has helped avoid the worst.

    The man, 25-year-old was aboard a toboggan of the company New-Wave when his car struck a rock and capsized. It is thus found the head under the water.

    One of the leaders of the group is then brought to its rescue, and, having drawn out of his unfortunate position, performed cpr, according to the story of the sergente Audrey-Anne Bilodeau of the Sûreté du Québec.

    The man was transported by ambulance to a hospital to receive care. It does concern not for his life.

    First in 10 years

    Guy Bergevin, co-owner of the company New-Wave, based in Saint-Gabriel-de-Valcartier, claimed to have seen anything like this since the founding of his company 10 years ago.

    “It is an extreme sport. On the occasion, it can happen something, it is not immune to it, but it always comes out well because we had a good team, ” said Mr. Bergevin.

    It argues that all measures are taken to ensure the safety of its customers.

    When going out in the luge, the groups are small and accompanied by several guides and trained employees to deal with this kind of situations. “We put all the chances on our board,” he said.
