A Residents seriously injured in l’île-du-Prince-Édouard

A couple of Residents has been involved in a serious motorcycle accident Monday afternoon on Île-du-Prince-Édouard.

The violent collision occurred around 13 h, on the road 2, in the area of Rollo Bay, near the town of Souris.

The driver of the motorcycle, a man of 68 years old, was very seriously injured upon impact with the small car.

The sexagenarian of Laval and was transported to hospital in a critical condition. His life would be in danger, according to the royal Canadian mounted police (RCMP).

A woman of 63 years, also of Laval, was also on the motorcycle. She was taken to the hospital for treatment of various injuries, which do not, however, his life in danger.

The driver of the car, a man from Ontario, was not injured in the accident.

“An RCMP investigator in charge of the reconstruction of the collisions is made on the premises, and an unmanned aerial vehicle has been used to analyze the scene of the collision,” said sergeant Chris Gunn, a spokesman for the RCMP in Prince Edward island.

Route 2 was closed to traffic for a few hours in the area. The cause and exact circumstances of the drama have not yet been established.
