The association STROKE All concerned setting Philippe Meynard, a former mayor of Barsac in the Gironde, himself a victim of a STROKE in 2014, to carry the fight. The Hospitals of Bordeaux and the regional Agency of health New-Aquitaine, as their ambassador against the disease.

Each year, 150 000 STROKES are registered in France, which represents one accident every 4 minutes. STROKE can strike at any age, and can leave sequelae in the vast majority of cases. The associations go to meet holidaymakers to alert on the risk factors of STROKE and its warning signs, often easy to spot, but poorly known to the general public.

Muscular weakness, paralysis of a limb or a part of the face, numbness, loss of vision in one eye or a part of the field of vision, difficulty speaking, or even just a headache is intense and brutal and should be a warning.

Certain factors increase the risk of reporting a STROKE : smoking, high blood pressure, or diabetes, but especially eating disorders and excessive cholesterol.
