A young fox was captured in the McGill metro station last Friday night by agents of the Montreal police.

After an intervention which involved a brief interruption of service, the animal was able to be transported on the island of St. Helena in safety.

Shortly after 21: 30, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) has reported to police that a fox was on the subway tracks. The police arrived, the fox was near the dock in the direction of Honoré-Beaugrand. Although some users have indicated on social media that the animal seemed sad, he was not aggressive and health.

The current on the rails had been cut to allow agents to capture the young animal. The rescue operation lasted only five minutes. A bus was then chartered to transport the agents and the foxes on the island of St. Helena.
