The presence of wheat and soybeans: a “trail mix” recalled

OTTAWA – Loblaw Companies Limited is the recall of a “trail Mix” of the President’s Choice brand Menu Blue, due to the presence of undeclared wheat and soy.

The product, sold in the format of 250 g (UPC 0 60383 18390 5, Codes: Best before 2018 JN 14) has been distributed nationally.

The canadian food inspection agency (CFIA) said on Friday in a press release, that people who are allergic to wheat, soy or sensitive to gluten should not consume the product covered by the recall, because it could “cause a serious reaction, or even death”.

Persons in possession of this product are urged to discard or return in-store.

The CFIA stresses that no reaction linked to the consumption of the product has not been reported.
