Fipronil : muffins and brownies are removed from the market

The list of products containing eggs contaminated with fipronil continues to grow. The ministry of Agriculture has added 5 references of muffins and 2 brownies. All these products are manufactured in Belgium and are stamped with embossing and Leader Price.

Earlier this week, the ministry has also asked for the withdrawal of pasta alsatian produced in France, as well as a reference of dauphine potatoes.

In total, 32 products have been withdrawn from the market because they contain fipronil at a concentration higher than the regulatory threshold. “Well that do not pose a risk to the health, they are listed in order of consumer information,” says the ministry on its website.

A prohibited substance in the farms
