Seizure of drug history in Ontario: the drugs came through the port of Montreal

    The Ontario provincial Police (OPP) has recently concluded a mega investigation intercontinental, which has allowed him to put the hand on more than a tonne of pure cocaine which the point of entry to the country was the port of Montreal.

    For the PPO, it is the largest seizure of cocaine in its history.

    According to the authorities, the drugs seized would have a street value of approximately $ 250 million on the black market.

    “During the investigation, three people responsible for importing huge amounts of cocaine from Argentina have been identified and related to the importation of cocaine transported by ocean vessels in shipping containers to the Port of Montreal, for distribution in Ontario”, have informed the authorities of ontario by way of a press release.

    The three suspects arrested are Luis Enrique Karim-Altamirano, 52, of Vaughan, in the suburbs of Toronto; Mauricio Antonio Medina-Gatica, 36, of Brampton; and Iban Orozco-Lomeli, a Toronto-based 45 years.

    The first is still held until his return to court on August 30, while the other two were released on bail.
