Two girls from Montreal out traumatized from their re-entry after having spent three hours on a school bus Wednesday. During this time, the confusion was such that their mother no longer knew the whereabouts of her daughters.
“My biggest woke up at 2: 30 in saying that the more she never wanted to take the bus. It has traumatized, ” sighs Emmanuelle Porlier.
His daughters Heidi and Roxanne McKeon, 10 and 7 years old, going to school, Edward Murphy, in the district of Mercier. Mrs. Porlier went back in the car for the return to school in the morning, Wednesday. But to return to the house, they had to take the bus to school for the first time of the year. They are, therefore, mounted in the bus 267, as they did last year.
However, the bus driver continued on his way when he passed close to their stop. “I told him : “Sir, stop !” it, ” says Heidi, who claims to have been virtually ignored by the driver for three hours.
During this time, Mrs. Porlier said to have waited an hour at the corner of the street, without understanding what was happening. So she called the school transportation company Transco. It was then reported that the bus was going to drop off his daughters at school, Michelangelo in Rivière-des-Prairires, 15 miles from her home, ” she says.
Panic
“I have called at [this] school, and I told them : “I come, keep my girls in the reception”. “But once she arrived, the director was informed that the bus in question was empty.
“I was in a panic. I was hurting at the heart, headache. I said to myself : “this is It. They have been kidnapped”. “
After a second call to Transco, it has been informed that the right vehicle, the one in which were his daughters, was always in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. It has, therefore, been able to recover at the registered office of the company at the end of the tour.

“I’m so afraid that last night [Wednesday] I have cried in my bed,” admits Heidi. It turned in my head. It was made by the bus daemon. “
The commission scolaire English Montreal assigns the incident to the fact that the girls did not have their bus pass and that their judgment was non-existent on the circuit. A teacher was left up by mistake in the vehicle. As for the driver, he could not let them down for reasons of safety, ” said spokesman Michael Cohen.
Gold, Mrs. Porlier claims to have made the request for the passes, but not having ever received by the post office due to an error of the school in his address. “Having received nothing, two weeks ago, I went to the school and I asked if the shutdown was still in the same place and I said yes,” she said.
Investigation launched
For its part, the company Transco apologizes and says to be aware of the anxiety experienced by the parents.
“The children were never in danger and the driver was always in communication with the allocation team, which was in contact with the parent. “An investigation has also been launched, says Laurie Henner, of Transco.
“There has been confusion on the part of all parties. We will have discussions with Transco to ensure better communication “, adds Mr. Cohen.
