WEYBURN, Saskatchewan | The police department of the city of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, takes major steps to put an end to the problem of drinking and driving is rampant in the region. Through a new campaign, it offers tickets taxi free and prices for motorists who choose not to drive impaired.

The campaign, “This Ride’s On Us” was launched on Thursday and aims to change the attitudes of the citizens vis-à-vis drinking and driving, reported Saturday the Global network News.

This pilot project, which will be tested during two months, urges customers to bars and restaurants which were too consumed to hand over the keys of their car to the members of the staff of the institution.
