Questioned by TV Magazine on the occasion of the broadcast of a documentary devoted to his career, Marc-Olivier Fogiel has revealed to write a book on surrogacy.
Marc-Olivier Fogiel wrote a book on the GPA. Happy dads of two little girls, Mila, 6 years old, and Lily, 4 years old, the leader of the Divan and her husband François Roelants have had to appeal to a surrogate mother in the United States, to be able to build their small family. If he masters the subject, Marco has no intention of telling his own story. It is primarily a work of journalism : “This will be neither an autobiography nor a book of exhibition, but an investigation written by a journalist who knows very well the subject, he said in an interview with TV Magazine. Today, almost 50 years, I think I know how to talk about finding the right distance. “
Through this work, Marc-Olivier Fogiel intends to put an end to preconceived ideas on the GPA, pointing finger at some ” unacceptable excess “, but also referring to “the beautiful stories” of “these women who, in a very precise and well delineated, are realized in the gift of themselves. “
“I hear too many clichés, fantasies, delusions on the GPA. The subject is too often caricatured. It becomes insulting to the children who are products of this mode of reproduction. The debate, as it currently exists, seems to me so far from the everyday lives of these families that have been used, and where love predominates. Families that are heterosexual in 70% of cases. “
Until the release of the book of Marc-Olivier Fogiel, C8 will dedicate this Friday 6 October, a documentary about the animator. Titled The tv Fogiel and produced by Matthew Delormeau, it will retrace the whole of his career, and contains the testimonies of the stars of the PAF as Nicolas Canteloup, Laurent Ruquier, Christophe Dechavanne.
