The chiefs of police and members of the directorates of police forces from across Quebec will meet Thursday at Nicolet, in Centre-du-Québec, in order to discuss the fentanyl, learned VAT News, on Tuesday.
The École nationale de police du Québec has invited representatives from the service branches of the police force in order to make the point on this major issue which has resulted in many deaths by overdose, particularly in the region of Montreal.
The meeting aims to make the tour of the question, to exchange ideas and discuss practices that exist in the different bodies of police. The meeting will take place behind closed doors, since it is possible that the sensitive elements of the investigation are discussed.
The police Department of the City of Montreal has stepped up raids against traffickers who sell fentanyl, an extremely powerful drug, of which a few grains may cause an overdose.
