The powerful winds and rain expected at the end of the week could be because of the last leaves still hanging on the trees, say meteorologists.
But the heat will go on probably for one last time this year, with a maximum experience of nearly 30 degrees Celsius on Sunday, ahead of the meteorologist and author, Gilles Brien.
“It is much warmer than the normal, but these are fall temperatures with lots of wind and rain,” he says.

Break
The end of the week will be actually marked by showers that will begin today to strengthen tomorrow. The north of the province is expected to be more severely affected than the south.
Of 5 to 10 mm of rain are expected to arrive in Montreal today and 20 to 30 tomorrow.
Strong winds sweep the region with gusts to near 65 km/h.
A break will then be felt Monday, when the cool weather and the sun will be back with a maximum of approximately 13 °C during the day and 3 °C at night.
“It is a system that permeates the United States, which will bring us a lot of rain. When it goes from Monday, winds from the north-west are expected to bring in fresh air and dry, ” says his side the meteorologist with Environment Canada Simon Legault.
A great variation of temperature is a phenomenon that is “typical” during the fall season, ” says Mr. Brien.
First flakes
Next week will see a return to normal of the season with temperatures around 13 °C during the day and 3 °C at night.
In the regions really more to the north as well as in the Matagami, Chibougamau or Manicouagan, the precipitation would instead take the form of snow.
At this time of the year, it is quite normal that the flakes are already emerging.
